Everyone loves visiting the aquarium on a weekend away, but have you ever imagined the adrenaline rush of stepping into the aquarium itself as a Southern Bluefin Tuna sweeps past you at 70km/h?
Well, wonder no more! Because with Oceanic Victor you can swim among hundreds of marvellous sea creatures in the ocean’s waters. Or for those not wanting to get their toes wet, settle in and watch on from the underwater observatory and enjoy the spectacular view of Australia’s marine life shimmy by.
Just one hour’s drive south of Adelaide on the spectacular Fleurieu Peninsula, Oceanic Victor has settled into its new home off Granite Island, Victor Harbor. This exhilarating in-sea aquarium aims to give visitors the opportunity to experience and understand our diverse marine environment in the same way its founders have grown to.
Oceanic Victor was established by Mick Dyer and his wife Yasmin along with business partner, Tony Santic. All of whom have multi-generational links with South Australia’s fishing industry and a profound passion for the sustainability of our sea life. It became their dream to share their knowledge and passion with keen visitors in Victor Harbor, and they sure have delivered!
For those wanting to explore the world beneath the waves, Oceanic Victor offers a 1 hour and 45 minute fun and educational experience sure to thrill the whole family. Prices range from $65.00 per child to $85.00 per adult, with family and concession passes also available.
A quick trip aboard their luxurious catamaran, Oceanic Victor will take you out to the in-sea aquarium where you’ll be fitted with a wetsuit, booties and gloves before jumping into the pen. If you’d rather stay dry, you can still feed the tuna from the viewing deck or experience smaller species at the touch tank.
