Alongside unique events throughout the Summer and Autumn, Adelaide Fringe will take the stage from 18th February, putting on shows in all kinds of weird and wonderful genres. We Are Woman Hear Us Roar
The ultimate tribute show to the pioneering female vocalists of the 60s & 70s, We Are Woman Hear Us Roar is a must-see during this year’s Adelaide Fringe. The show features FULL TILT JANIS the Janis Joplin Tribute Show, alongside vocals of Melissa Jubb and her six piece all star band. At this show you’ll also hear some classic hits from some of the iconic female vocalists of the 60s & 70s. Expect Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Patti Smith, Carly Simon, Marianne Faithfull, Suzi Quatro, Carole King, Jefferson Airplane, Helen Reddy and many more.
Closure at a Self-Serve Checkout
Closure at a Self-Serve Checkout is a ridiculous, raucous, and some may say chaotic one-woman comedy cabaret. With a collection of monologues, stand-up and witty songs performed by Bobbie and her piano, this show looks at how to take our depressed and broken hearts of the past and finds ways to move on. The most important part, is that we laugh about it together. Enjoy some chaotic catharsis at the Bridgeport Hotel during Fringe 2023!
ME ‘N ME MATES
Taking country, folk and original songs and mixing them with bush ballads and comic sketches, this hilarious show will have you joyful from start to finish. Celebrating the Australian way with words and sense of humour, Me ‘N Me Mates is a truly Aussie experience, one which has been seen by those at the National Folk Festival, Tamworth CMF, The Ghan, agricultural shows, town halls, backyards, bus shelters right across SA, Victoria, ACt and NSW. Got a unique Australian phrase to share with the guys? The group will add them to their repertoire if you share them after the show.
Paint and Sip
Paint and Sip is pretty simple. It’s an event where you paint, alongside a nice local beverage. Join Paint and Sip for a two-hour guided painting session to create your very own version of classics by Van Gogh, Monet, Klimt OR to paint one of our popular originals like Mindful Mandala and Moonlight Cherry Blossom. No art experience is required – it’s just a lot of fun.
Unpredictable Magic
An exciting crossover between circus juggling, and magic routines, Unpredictable Magic is perfect for families. Nic from Off the Shelf Juggling is joined by Drew Magic in this wonderful show which will amaze from start to finish. This is a fun show with a combination of silliness and sophistication; so everyone gets to have some laughs.
Wine Wars
Looking for something a little different? Or perhaps just looking for a fun event after Fringe ends and the blues set in? Enjoy a magnificent evening and explore your appetite with four exquisite courses paired with wine from two competing wineries; Pikes Wines from Clare Valley and The Lane from Adeliade Hills. At each course you’ll receive blind tastings from the wineries, and vote for your favourite. Then, at the end, the winner of the Wine Wars for April 2023 will be announced. Between courses there will also be a game or two!
