Okay Read MoreAdelaide Fringe Festival
6th February 2017
It’s almost that time of year again, the best time of year to visit Adelaide we mean.
For 31 magical days and nights the Adelaide Fringe Festival will completely take over Adelaide, surrounding suburbs and even some regional areas of South Australia. This year’s event will kick off on 17 February and run until 19 March.
The Adelaide Fringe Festival is now the largest arts festival in the Southern Hemisphere, boasting an enormous program and reaching a broad demographic. Venues big and small, pop-up and permanent house thousands of artists from all over Adelaide, Australia and the world, so you’re bound to stumble across some Fringe goodness whether that be in a tent, a pub, a laundromat or even an abandoned hospital for the gutsy.
The diversity of acts is astounding and ranges from stand-up comedy acts in a local coffee shop to travelling theatre shows performing to large groups in a beautiful garden setting. If you’re into all things theatre, including comedy, cabaret, magic and dance, pay a visit to the Garden of Unearthly Delights or surrounding Fringe Festival venues this Mad March and experience the vibrancy of the Adelaide Fringe Festival.
There is something for everyone during the Fringe and you don’t have to break the bank to get amongst the festivities, with many shows free to attend or costing as little as $5 on the door.
Get along to the Adelaide Fringe this February and March and watch on as the city of Adelaide comes alive!
