Unfortunately, the pie carts no longer exist, however you can still get a taste of this iconic dish at a few Adelaide locations. Try one at the award winning, South Australian owned and family business ‘Bakery on O’Connell’ you can also indulge in some delicious sweet treats whilst you are there.
5. Experience a Degustation Menu at Restaurant Botanic
This will take your foodie experiences in Adelaide to the next level, recently renovated and rebranded by executive Chef Justin James, Restaurant Botanic has entered a new era in the Adelaide food scene. The restaurant has been updated and modernised, features now include an open kitchen, hearth, and a curved chef’s table with seats for guests to watch the chefs in action. The menu uses ingredients sourced from the surrounding gardens and is enough to make any food lovers mouth water. Choose between two degustation options, ‘The short path’ or ‘The long trail’ which could include dishes such as duck fat and chive biscuits (scones) with a 14-day cultured butter and clam jam. Make sure you book ahead to secure your spot.
