Roam through the Canola Fields
Each spring, Clare Valley’s rolling hills transform into fields of gold, with canola flowers cropping up around every corner. One of South Australia’s premier wine regions, the Clare Valley could be likened to the Barossa’s chilled-out younger sibling, home to world-famous labels, but set to a beautiful country backdrop. On Sunday 6 October, Phoenix Avenue in Clare will come alive for a family friendly event with free entry. The Spring Art & Garden Fair has a great selection of plant stalls, garden art, local artists, food, wine, music and for the kids, a jumping castle and face painting. The model trains will be operating all day with all money raised on the day going to the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

Traversing the picturesque Clare Valley wine region, the Riesling Trail is one of the first rail-trails to be developed in South Australia. Suitable for walkers, bikes, wheelchairs and pushers, you can follow the trail and stop off at many of the region’s best wineries. The trail is idea for those wanting to see as many of the wineries as possible and discover the region.
