25th June 2017
Do you love craft beer? Then make a day of it and quench your thirst at some of the best microbreweries in SA!
- Pirate Life
Canned craft beer is hard to come by but the boys behind Pirate Life wouldn’t have done it any other way. If it’s not straight from the can, it’s poured from the tap. The crisp taste of their Session IPA, Pale Ale and Double IPA brews have dubbed Pirate Life as one of SA’s most popular craft beers among pubs and small bars across Adelaide.
Taste them at Pirate Life Brewing – 89 South Road, Hindmarsh, Adelaide, - Prancing Pony
Prancing Pony Brewery stands out from the crowd by using fire brewing, a technique once popular across Europe. It’s believed this method gives their beers a greater depth of flavour. These flavours can be tasted across their range of beers including the Sunshine Ale, Pale Ale, Blonde Ale, Amber Ale, India Red Ale, Black Ale and Copper Ale.

Meechi Brewing Company have been pleasing tastebuds since 2014 with their flavoursome, full bodied Pale Ale. Only 2000 litres are made of each batch and while their beer is currently brewed in Mildura, the owners would love to establish their own craft brewery in Langhorne Creek in due course.
Taste them at The Winehouse, 1509 Langhorne Creek Road, Langhorne Creek, Fleurieu Peninsula. - Big Shed
For some masterful in-your-face flavours, the Big Shed Brewery have got their recipes down packed. Aside from their signature range of beers, the boys also pump out one-off creations from time to time like the apple and cherry cider and chocolate chilli porter, yum!
